CoolTown Living DC

There's a new breed of homeowner who wants to live in an authentic, vibrant, walkable community; eliminate long commutes and possibly eliminate their car altogether; want their home to express their unique personality on the inside and outside; and desire third places like coffee shops and cafes where they can interact with like-minded neighbors.

We don’t do the suburbs, we don’t do McMansions, and we don’t even do neighborhoods if we can’t get there by mass transit.

Walkable neighborhoods like Adams Morgan and Capitol Hill went largely un-replicated in the post World War II suburban expansion, but today these are exactly the kind of places people want to live in. They want the opportunity to walk to the local bakery on a Sunday morning, meet friends at a pub after work, or people watch from a sidewalk café located just around the corner from their home.

An example of our evolving criteria: Pedestrian-Oriented, Historical, Human-Scaled/Context-Sensitive, with a Creative Aesthetic and a minimum 75 Walk Score.
